2008 In Review
We are 1.5 hours from 2009 and reflections of the past are streaking through my mind.
Breifly:
I have learned more in the last 365 days than I have in any other previous year
I have learned that what matters is figuring out what you love and giving it everything you’ve got
I’ve learned to not spend much time on things that I’m not passionate about
Being brutally honest with yourself is really hard to do; I’ve learned this in 2008
In addition to Amy, surrounding myself with people who are interested and care about what I am doing helps me as a person. I will focus even more on developing my group of friends and advisors in 2009
My learning wasn’t as profitable as I want it to be in 2008, but I am confident that 2009 will be
I’ve learned that people want to invest in the current YOU, not who you want to be one day. I’m convinced this is true in business and personal relationships
I’ve learned to invest as much time as possible in family; life is short, family matters first and above all
Looking forward:
2009 will be the biggest and most exciting year for Amy and I; personally and with the biz
Developing deeper relationships with my family, friends and advisors
Focusing on my well being
Doing more of what matters and less of what doesn’t (sadly this might mean less tweets!)
That’s it. Simple and direct as it should be. 2009 will be about focus on what creates independence for Amy and I, our family and friends, and our well-being
